OK, I didn’t bike yesterday, but I made up for it today. It was -4 when I arrived at work this morning, feet a little numb.  It was exhilarating. The sun was out and there was frost on the plants in the valley I ride to work in. But it was cold. Two cups of tea and a cup of hot chocolate later and I was warm again.

The bike worked well.  I think next time I ride in sub-zero weather I will ware two layers on my legs.  I don’t think one is enough. My upper body stayed warm thanks to the great clothes and gloves I have acquired in the last two years.  The ride home was just about as cold, but I knew a warm shower was waiting.

Wimped out today, but will bike to work tomorrow

OK, I admit it, I totally wimped out today.  It was cold, I made little effort to get up early, and the idea came into my head that instead of biking I could have coffee with Kristin and Chelsea at the coffee shop and drop them off at work and school.  I wimped out.  (more…)
